Lamentation

It’s the same sea

Salt between my toes

Yet grey without the sun

Sometimes I wonder if the beach can Relate to the emotion of being without You when the sun sets

If the birds still feel the joy of flying Without your light shining through

If the sky still feels beautiful without your mirror

The breeze left in the spot where you used to be

Planting shivers on my skin

The footstep moving away from the sand

Leaving you as lonely as you were the night before

Then the sky left softer

A warm glow of your promises

A golden dream

A deserted heart

A light that lasts long after you’ve slept beneath the horizon
